FAIRBAIRN PARK PLAYGROUND

Public BBQ

An all-timber playground in Ascot Vale built around obstacle courses, climbing and pull-up frames, and a maze-like space for kids to run around in. The activities strike a good balance between safe and challenging, which suits older children better than toddlers. Its best feature is the location, with a swimming pool and gym right next door, so it is easy to turn a quick play session into a full day out. Be aware the equipment has aged and does not quite match the promotional photos floating around, so it is functional rather than flash. Handy if you are already in the area or making a day of the pool.
